The Findlay Amateur Hockey Association (FAHA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing and promoting the sport of youth hockey. FAHA offers programs for skaters of all levels beginning with the Initiation Program for first time skaters ages 4 to 18 to competitive levels to play for ages 4 to 18 years of age. The goal of these programs is to provide quality instruction with emphasis on team play, good sportsmanship, and the development of strong individual fundamentals. The feeling of honor, pride, attitude, and personal satisfaction that comes with being a member of a great team has no equal.

The Silver Blades Figure Skating Club features 100 skaters  of widely varying ages and skating skills. The club is a non-profit organization and is supported by volunteer parents, professional instructors, best internet tv box shop and the Hancock Recreation Center Staff. Silver Blades is affiliated with the Ice Skating Institute, a national organization promoting recreational figure skating, while providing standards of instruction and testing encouraging skaters to progress in the sport.

Our skaters, ages 4 to 18, enjoy a healthy activity while improving  their skating skills, building friendships, competing at other rinks, and performing in a first class ice show each March.

The Findlay Men’s Hockey League invites you to play Ice Hockey! Join us for Adult Ice Hockey Fun and Excitement! The upcoming 2002-2003 season of the “Findlay Men’s Hockey League” offers 3 divisions of play for men and women over 18 years of age. Separate divisional play for beginning, intermediate and advanced players. Fun for all involved! Play begins in late September and runs through March. Come on out and join the fastest game on ice!

FHS Varsity Team
Head Coach Mike Root returns for his 23nd season as the Findlay High School Hockey Coach. Under Root, the Trojans have compiled an overall record of 355 wins, 209 loses and 10 ties.

The 2001-2002 Season saw the Hancock Area Junior Varsity Hockey Team post an 8-9-6 record with two of the losses being in shootouts and 2 others by 1 goal. Tim Manley and Joy Zirger shared head coaching duties with the assistance of Rob Woolley and manager Larry Grove. The JV Team is comprised of players fromHancock County and Area Schools who must meet the eligibility rules of their home school to participate. Try-outs for the 2002-2003 team will be held on Friday, Nov. 1 at HRC; the time is still to be determined. .
